Biography

As a scholar of nineteenth-century American poetry, Dr. Socarides loves thinking about and working on a wide variety of topics with Honors College students. She regularly lectures on Emily Dickinson in the Humanities sequence, and taught a 1-credit course called “Chapter One,” which was a hybrid literature/creative writing course, for many years. Most recently, she has taught a tutorial (GN_HON 2010H) on the new, hit Apple+ tv show, “Dickinson.”
