Scholars (Virtual Visit) Day

The most talented and accomplished students from throughout the nation are annually invited to join us for our Scholars (Virtual Visit) Day to learn more about the role that the Honors College can play in enriching and enhancing their education here at the University of Missouri.

This event has passed. Watch this site for SU2021.

It will be recorded and made available to those who wish to return to the site or visit at a later time. It will go off-line on August 31, 2020.

Prospective students who log on to join us will be treated to several unique sessions through which they will interact with the College’s students, faculty, and administrators. Live feed opening and closing sessions will frame the event, while participants will have the opportunity to submit comments and questions through a number of Live Chats and Q&A sessions. More than forty Academic Unites (Colleges, Schools, Departments, and Programs) will be participating.

Virtual tours are available so that you can also see the Honors Learning Community (HLC) residences in Mark Twain Hall or Schurz Hall.

As part of the program, there will be a session on current student research and artistry projects through which you can learn what it is like to be a part of the College’s growing cohort of co-curricular Scholars & Fellows who undertake research or artistry in a professional setting as an integral part of their overall education.

Information sessions will be held, focusing on Honors-specific interactions within departments and programs, MedOpp and the pre-med program, Fellowships, study abroad, and our curricular offerings.

One of the program’s highlights will be our student panel, where you can interact with our current students and learn, first-hand, about the day-to-day life of a Mizzou Honors Tiger, from classroom to dorm room, and everything in between.

Space is limited, even though the event is virtual, so please register through the Office of Admissions.
