Overview
The Honors College at the University of Missouri is home to numerous Scholars & Fellows programs, each of which provides unique academic, extra-curricular benefits and opportunities to participants. Below you will find each program grouped into two different categories: awards that include and are focused on research and honors awards that include special opportunities to recipients.
Most of these awards are for incoming freshmen but some of the programs are open to current students as well. Opportunities for current students are listed on the Scholarship & Aid for Current Students page.
Research Fellowships
For First-Year Honors Students Only:
Blatchford Scholars – Award to support Native American students who wish to use research and their education to give back to their community
Brazeal Scholars – Award to support Black or African-American students that includes a research placement
Founders’ Memorial Scholars – Special project research placement within the Honors College
Goode Scholars – Research placement for incoming freshman in their area of study
Stamps Scholars – MU’s premier scholarship program that includes a research placement
For Current and/or First-Year Honors Students:
ASH Scholars – A team approach to research focused on the arts, social sciences, and humanities
Cherng Summer Scholars – Full-time summer research program
Discovery Fellows – Research placement for incoming freshman in their area of study
Honors Scholarships
Cherng Scholars – Financial award for out-of-state honors students
Panda-Mizzou Scholars – Financial award for honors students majoring in Education, Health Sciences and have financial need
Show-Me Scholars – Financial award for Missouri resident honors students
