Biography
Dr. Panchanathan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology and Director of the Evolution and Social Science Group at the University of Missouri. His research interests include cooperation and social evolution, cultural evolution, evolution of learning and development, metascience, and philosophy of biology. He teaches courses on cultural anthropology, the evolution of human nature, theory in anthropology, and the department capstone seminar. He has been teaching a course called “The Evolution of Human Nature” for multiple years. This course integrates evolutionary approaches and the social and behavioral sciences in the study of human behavior.
