Biography

Dr. Porter researches patterns of communication about mental health and illness in marginalized communities with the intention of increasing mental health help-seeking in those communities. As a former reporter and strategic communicator, she teaches JOURN 2000H (Cross-Cultural Journalism) and serves on the Honors College Council.
