Biography
Seth Howes is Associate Professor of German. His research focuses on the literature and culture of the Cold War, paying particular attention to the legacies of Fascism and Communism in artworks produced from the 1920s to the present. For the Honors College, he has lectured and taught in the Humanities Sequence and regularly offers Honors and Honors WI sections of Totalitarianism and Culture, a course co-taught with Professor Nicole Monnier (Russian). Finally, he has also advised Cherng Summer Scholars and honors theses projects on a variety of subjects.
