Biography
Tina Casagrand teaches the course “The Nonprofit Sector: How to Work for Causes You Care About.” After more than a decade as a nonprofit communications professional and program coordinator — while building her dream organization from the ground up — she looks forward to sharing her experience with honors students, equipping them for fulfilling engagement with nonprofits now and in the future.
Since founding the full-color, biannual nonprofit print magazine The New Territory in 2016, Tina has collaborated with more than 400 writers, artists and editors from the Lower Midwest to unearth new stories focused on the environment, humanities, history and future of the region. She holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and anthropology from the University of Missouri, and has a long and treasured history with the Missouri Scholars Academy.
