Encouraging the Next Generation of Musical Experts

A simple note from a violin teacher put a third grade Julie Rosenfeld on a path that would eventually have her perform in more than 1,200 concerts across 20-plus countries. The note came from Ethel Campbell, who was part of a program that sent string instrument teachers to elementary schools across the Los Angeles, California, area. Mizzou Welcomes 2024 Cohort of Stamps Scholars

The University of Missouri is one of just 36 universities across the United States and into the United Kingdom that partners with the Stamps Scholars Program on a premier scholarship. Mizzou has collaborated with the program since 2017, offering Tigers a full four-year scholarship, covering up to the total estimated cost of attendance (including housing), plus an additional $16,000 enrichment fund for students to use throughout their time at MU. Kiraly Vega had two items on her college wish list – a place where she could participate in undergraduate research and engage in an exciting study abroad program.
