Biography

Erik Potter joined the Office of Global and National Fellowships in September 2019. A first-generation college student, Erik holds an associate of arts degree from Rock Valley Community College, a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield. A newspaper reporter for nine years, Erik came to Mizzou in 2012 as a staff writer for the university alumni magazine. He has taught a writing class in the Mizzou School of Journalism and has won multiple writing awards.
