There are multiple ways to get involved in the Honors College, including a variety of student-led events! The Honors College Student Council schedules fun activities throughout the academic year for all Honors students.

Geek Week

A weeklong tradition of celebrating University of Missouri Honors College students, as well as the entire Honors community, Geek Week features a variety of “geeky” events and activities. The theme for 2024 was “Let’s Play.” The Honors College Student Council leads the charge on picking a theme and developing programming around the event.

Homecoming

Honors College students are very involved throughout the Homecoming festivities. The Honors College Student Council participates in several Mizzou events and activities.

Spring Awards Ceremony

Each spring, the Honors College hosts an awards ceremony where faculty, staff and students are recognized for their incredible achievements.

The council’s mission is to create an Honors community that supports all areas of Honors students’ lives by hosting events, promoting community service and supporting students’ professional development.

Commencement

Graduating with the Honors Certificate makes you eligible for the Honors College graduation ceremony held in Jesse Auditorium.

Join the Honors Community!

Students must be admitted to Mizzou before they can apply to the Honors College. Once admitted to Mizzou, students who are eligible will see the Honors College application on their Application Status Page. Students who do not meet eligibility requirements can request an application.
