After 32 years as the First Violinist of the internationally recognized Colorado String Quartet, Julie Rosenfeld joined the faculty at the University of Missouri in 2014 to teach and to explore other areas of interest. She has continued to perform both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, and has commissioned and recorded more than a dozen new compositions. In addition to her duties in the School of Music, Professor Rosenfeld has taught in the Honors Humanities Sequence (Early Modern Period), as well as a semester of Perceiving Musical Traditions and Styles for the Honors College in the Fall of 2021.
