The Honors College partners with offices and programs from across the University of Missouri campus. Those partnerships are key in providing opportunities for all Honors students.
Along with those partnerships, the Honors College oversees its own offices and programs.
Offices and Programs Overseen by the Honors College
- MedOpp Advising Office
- The MedOpp Advising Office provides pre-professional advising for pre-medical (allopathic and osteopathic), pre-dental, pre-optometry, pre-podiatry, pre-physician assistant, pre-physical therapy, and pre-occupational therapy students at Mizzou. The office offers co-curricular programming including seminars, workshops, and activities that are designed to complement the student’s academic and scholarly achievements in preparation for application to professional programs. Students DO NOT have to be in the Honors College to work with the MedOpp Advising Office.
- Missouri Scholars Academy
- Founded in 1985, the Missouri Scholars Academy is a three-week residential program for 330 of Missouri’s academically gifted students who are ready to begin their junior year of high school. The Academy is held each June on the campus of the University of Missouri and administered by the Honors College.
- Office of Global and National Fellowships
- “Fellowship” is a generic term that encompasses globally and nationally competitive grants, scholarships, and similar funding opportunities. Typically, fellowships fund study, research, or teaching in the United States or abroad. Fellowships are an investment in your future, not a reward for previous work. They exist to help you develop yourself personally, professionally and academically. Students DO NOT have to be in the Honors College to work with the Office of Global and National Fellowships.
