Biography

After of a 20-year career in the U.S. Army, Cory W. MacNeil graduated from MU with his Ph.D. in journalism. His research explores the instantiation and reification of social knowledge through the privileged communication of journalism using the high stakes context of war reporting where all the tenets of “good journalism” are stress tested to their breaking point.

Cory is husband to a homemade sewing entrepreneur and father to two children. You may spot him around campus making photographs of students at study, work and play or find him reading a leather-bound tome of classic literature.
