| Nancy West is the Director of the Honors College.
A 2004 winner of the William T. Kemper award for Outstanding Teaching, Nancy West has taught at MU since 1995, where she has also received two Gold Chalk Awards for Excellence in Graduate Teaching and the inaugural EGSA award for Outstanding Graduate Faculty Member (2005). She has published articles in such journals as Narrative, Nineteenth Century Contexts, the Yale Journal of Criticism, Postscript, and the Yale Journal of Law and Humanities. Her first book, Kodak and the Lens of Nostalgia, was published in 2000 by the University Press of Virginia. She has just completed another book, entitled Tabloid, Inc.: Crimes, News, Narratives (Ohio State UP, 2010), which she wrote with former MU graduate student Penelope Pelizzon. Currently, she is working on a cultural history of Masterpiece Theatre.

Dr. Julie Melnyk received her BA in English and Mathematics summa cum laude from Haverford College, her M.Phil from Oxford University (English Literature 1789-1880), and her PhD in English from the University of Virginia. Now Associate Director of the Honors College and Coordinator of the Humanities Sequence, she continues her research into 19C women's religious writing. In addition to producing numerous articles and scholarly presentations on this topic, she has edited two collections of original scholarly essays: Women's Theology in 19th-Century Britain (1998) and, with Nanora Sweet, Felicia Hemans: Reimagining Poetry in the 19th Century (2001). Her recent work includes Victorian Religion: Faith and Life in Britain (Praeger, 2008) and
“Women, Writing, and the Creation of Theological Cultures” in Women, Gender and Religious Cultures in Britain, 1800-1940, eds. Morgan & deVries (Routledge, 2010).

Megan Boyer originally from Jefferson City, Missouri received her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary College in Leavenworth, Kansas and majored in English. Passionate about working with students, Megan earned her Master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Central Missouri State University. After leaving CMSU, Megan worked as a Residence Hall Coordinator at Mizzou for two years. Megan has been an advisor in the Honors College since 2005. Megan's two major hobbies are film photography and performing as a blues vocalist with the Megan Boyer Band. |

| Kristina Wright is originally from Deshler, Nebraska.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Doane College (Crete, Nebraska),
majoring in Sociology and minoring in Business and Psychology. Kristina
then earned her Master’s degree in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology
with an emphasis in Career Development from the University of Missouri.

John Kumia John Kumia originally from O'ahu, Hawaii attended Saint Louis High School and Chaminade University in Honolulu. John moved to MO in 1993 and has worked at State Fair Community College in Sedalia as Activities Director, Administrative Assistant at Central Missouri State University International Admissions Office and currently Secretary at MU's Honors College. With a commitment to education and culture, John founded Missouri's first Hula School and participated as a Master Artist with the Missouri Folk Arts program http://museum.research.missouri.edu/mfap/hawaiian.htm John enjoys gardening, music, and exploring Missouri's wild life. Born in the Year of the Monkey, he's the guy with the Monkey on his desk. Stop by and say Howzit!

Brittany Zatz is from Schaumburg, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) and has been a Student Worker for the Honors College since Fall 2008. Brittany came to Mizzou for its Business School and to break away from schools in Illinois. She enjoys playing Co-ed Rec Soccer at Mizzou (Go Pterodactyls!), playing Volleyball (team Practice Safe Sets!), and baking for friends and co-workers. She is a Tri-President of the Honors Ambassadors, Secretary of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honors Fraternity, and member of several other organizations on campus. Brittany's favorite part about being in the Honors College besides working with its staff is taking smaller, more personalized discussion Honors classes with dedicated and enthusiastic professors. |
