| Stuart Palonsky is the Director of the Honors College.
He teaches discussion sections in the Honors Colleges four-semester
Humanities Sequence and offers the lectures on the Book of Job, Maimonides,
and Hannah Arendt. He is also MUs Chief Health Professions Advisor
and leads the panel interviews of students interested in post-baccalaureate
work in medicine, dentistry, optometry, and podiatry. He is the faculty
representative to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and the Jack
Kent Cook Scholarship Program as well as the contact person for the Churchill
Scholarships among others. Palonsky writes for McGraw-Hill. His book Critical
Issues in Education: Dialogues and Dialectics (2004) is in its 5th edition.

Dr. Julie Melnyk received her BA in English and Mathematics summa cum laude from Haverford College, her M.Phil from Oxford University (English Literature 1789-1880), and her PhD in English from the University of Virginia. Now Associate Director of the Honors College and Coordinator of the Humanities Sequence, she continues her research into 19C women's religious writing. In addition to producing numerous articles and scholarly presentations on this topic, she has edited two collections of original scholarly essays: Women's Theology in 19th-Century Britain (1998) and, with Nanora Sweet, Felicia Hemans: Reimagining Poetry in the 19th Century (2001). Her book on Christianity, Community, and Subjectivity in Victorian Women's Religious Literature is currently under consideration at Cambridge University Press.

Dr. Mike Stadler Associate Director for Programs and Curriculum in the Honors College, was a University Honors Scholar at Wright State University and completed his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at Purdue University. He joins the Honors College from MU’s Department of Psychological Sciences, where the Psi Chi chapter twice named him Psychology Professor of the Year. His research focus has been the relation between consciousness and memory, with projects on automatic thought, nonconscious learning, and false memory. More recently, his broader interests in the nature of mind and knowledge in the world have led him to two book projects, The Psychology of Baseball (forthcoming from Gotham) and The Psychology of Everyday Life (with Alan Strathman, forthcoming from Worth).

Megan Boyer originally from Jefferson City, Missouri received her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary College in Leavenworth, Kansas and majored in English. Passionate about working with students, Megan earned her Master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Central Missouri State University. After leaving CMSU, Megan worked as a Residence Hall Coordinator at Mizzou for two years. Megan advises undecided Honors students and enjoys music, reading, backpacking and rock climbing. |

| Kristina Wright is originally from Deshler, Nebraska.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Doane College (Crete, Nebraska),
majoring in Sociology and minoring in Business and Psychology. Kristina
then earned her Master’s degree in Educational, School and Counseling Psychology
with an emphasis in Career Development from the University of Missouri.

John Kumia John Kumia originally from O'ahu, Hawaii attended Saint Louis High School and Chaminade University in Honolulu. John moved to MO in 1993 and has worked at State Fair Community College in Sedalia as Activities Director, Administrative Assistant at Central Missouri State University International Admissions Office and currently Secretary at MU's Honors College. With a commitment to education and culture, John founded Missouri's first Hula School and participated as a Master Artist with the Missouri Folk Arts program http://museum.research.missouri.edu/mfap/hawaiian.htm John enjoys gardening, music, and exploring Missouri's wild life. Cyndie Kimball lived all over the Midwest before living in the Phoenix desert. She is happy to be back in the Midwest enjoying the four seasons' view from the Honors College window. As "mother" of the Honors College she happily offers an encouraging word or smile while she schedules your appointments, answers your questions or generally directs traffic in the office.
