Honors internship is a disciplined, self-directed project of academic study and enrichment under the direction and scrutiny of a Mizzou faculty member in conjunction with an off campus internship. It is an opportunity to translate experiential opportunities, such as field work or internships, into academic experience and achievement.

Independent Study is a disciplined, self-directed project of academic study and enrichment under the direction and scrutiny of a regular Mizzou faculty member appropriate to the student’s particular field of interest. It is an opportunity to pursue study of a subject or topic in more depth than would normally be available in traditional course work.
