Biography

Dr. Belquis Elhadi grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and earned her BA in Sociology from the University of Missouri in 2016. She went on to earn a PhD in American Culture from the University of Michigan in 2023, where she specialized in Arab and Muslim American studies. Passionate about working with students, she has returned to the Honors College as an academic advisor and is excited to support students in achieving their academic and personal goals — whatever those may look like! Outside of work, she spends time with her cat and loves to watch movies, do pottery, embroidery, crochet, block printing, and more!
