The Honors College awards funds for experiential learning, travel, and technology for honors students to participate in education through experience.
Examples of ways to use this money are for study abroad, off-campus research, attendance at academic conferences, workshops, leadership programs, or other participation in programs and events that substantively enhance a student’s education and outcomes.
Currently, we only have funds available for Honors Scholars & Fellows participants. On August 1, 2021, funds will be available to all Honors College students. Students can request amounts of money up to $500, depending on the request. These requests will be accepted until funds are no longer available.
In order to be considered for funding, you must be in good standing as an active member of the Honors College. If you have questions, please contact our Scholars & Fellows Coordinator Ava Drayton.
Approved funds will be disbursed in one of two ways, depending on the experience:
- Your funds will be dispersed into your MU student account.
- You will be reimbursed for approved expenses once receipts and a completed W9 form are submitted.
