Apply for Honors College scholarships in myStudyAbroad. Deadlines are based on the study abroad term and scholarship award decisions will be made prior to program application deadlines. Awards range from $500 – $1000.
Scholarship application deadlines:
Winter break 2024/25, calendar year, spring and spring break 2025 programs: Sept. 1, 2024
Summer and fall 2025, academic year 2025/26: Dec. 15, 2024
Study Abroad Scholarship Information
To be considered for funding, you must be in good standing as an active member of the Honors College. If you have questions, please contact the Honors College.
If you are part of a specific Honors Scholarship program, you can request the amount your scholarship program has available to you. These programs include: Stamps, Brazeal, Cherng / Show-Me, or Cherng Summer Scholars. Email the Scholarship and Research Coordinator outlining the amount of money you are requesting as well as a link to the experience will be using it for.
Funds are available for Honors College students to attend academic, professional and/or research conferences. These can be local, national, or international. We will prioritize applications that are submitted by students that are presenting at conferences.

Funding Disbursement
Approved funds will be disbursed in one of two ways, depending on the experience:
- Your funds will be dispersed into your MU student account.
- You will be reimbursed for approved expenses once receipts and a completed W9 form are submitted.
