Awards for Honors College students are closed for the 2021-2022 school year and will reopen again in August of 2022. If you are part of a specific Honors Scholarship & Research program, you can request an amount you know your scholarship program has available to you.
The Honors College awards funds for experiential learning, travel, and technology for honors students to participate in education through experience.
This money could be used for study abroad, off-campus research, attendance of academic conferences, workshops, leadership programs, or other participation in programs and events that substantively enhance a student’s education and outcomes.
Funds are available to all Honors College students and requests can be made in amounts of up to $500, depending on the request. These requests will be accepted until funds are no longer available.
In order to be considered for funding, you must be in good standing as an active member of the Honors College. If you have questions, please contact our Scholarship & Research Coordinator Ava Drayton.
Approved funds will be disbursed in one of two ways, depending on the experience:
- Your funds will be dispersed into your MU student account.
- You will be reimbursed for approved expenses once receipts and a completed W9 form are submitted.
