Each year, the MU Honors College celebrates high achieving students who have received scholarships, awards and fellowships at a spring awards ceremony. This year, graduating seniors and over 70 other students were honored in front of friends, family and members of the honors community.
ASH Scholars, Show-Me Scholars, Discovery Fellows, Cherng Summer Scholars, and students in the Undergraduate Success Program and Honors Ambassador Program were recognized as well.
Students who received awards and scholarships either applied or were nominated by a faculty member for the honor. Applications open at the beginning of each spring semester and students learn of the selections at the ceremony. The criteria for each of the scholarships and awards can be found on the Scholarships and Awards page of the Honors College website, and each is made possible by the generous alumni and supporters of the Honors College.
In addition to student awards, the Honors College presented an Outstanding Faculty Award to David Setzer from the Division of Biological Sciences.
