Hello! Well, it has been three months here at Mizzou and now it is time to head back to New Jersey for Thanksgiving break. I have made lots of new friends and have attended several different types of clubs and organizations since I last updated you, as I am searching for the activities that suit me best. Football season has sadly come to a close, but I couldn’t be more excited for the start of basketball season! Go Tigers! Go Michael Porter Jr.!
I am a Pre-Vet Scholar, meaning if I maintain the GPA requirement, I will be granted acceptance into the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine upon my graduation in May 2021. It is exciting and reassuring I already have a school that will allow me to further grow my education and fulfill my dream of becoming a veterinarian.
It blows my mind that I submitted my application for the Stamps Scholarship just under a year ago, not expecting anything to come of it, and now here I am! After the essay submissions and interviews, I was selected for this program and couldn’t be more grateful. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to submit your application for the Stamps Program here at the University of Missouri (by December 1st, of course!). I can truly say this has been the biggest blessing in my life and I have only been a part of this program for the past few months. I am looking forward to meeting some of the applicants this February and sharing my love and gratitude for Roe and Peggy Stamps. Good luck!
