Biography

Jess Walter Soete is originally from Lake of the Ozarks but has lived in Columbia longer than anywhere else and considers it home. Jess has a Bachelor’s degree from Mizzou in Communication and a Master’s degree, also from MU, in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education Leadership. Jess traveled the state recruiting high schoolers to Mizzou for several years. She also has experience in advising and student affairs. Jess loves finding ways to integrate students’ interests and passions into their Mizzou experience. When Jess has a spare moment, she enjoys watching Mizzou football with her family, trying new recipes, and reading novels with happy endings.
