Toyin Jackson – October & November 2017

Hello! So we’re approaching the end of my first semester at Mizzou and a lot has changed since I started. I’m less homesick but am still struggling slightly with transitioning to my new life here but it’ll get better with time. Football season is over (not complaining) and basketball season is upon us! I went to the season home opener which was super fun but I heard that Michael Porter Jr. is hurt and out for the rest of the season so that’s very unfortunate, but I still have hope that we’ll have a successful season. Classes are going well, just wrapping them up and excited for a clean slate next semester.

Before break I was inducted into the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board (AASB) which I am very excited about! I also am a part of a campus ministry called Veritas that I love and I plan to play club volleyball next semester since I miss competing so much. I have a lot of things in the works and I’m excited to see what next semester brings.
