MU Honors College Mourns the Passing of Penny Stamps

It is with sadness that we note the passing, yesterday (December 13, 2018) of Penny Stamps, one of the namesakes and benefactors of the Stamps Scholars program, which MU has been associated with since 2016.

Offit, the Director of the Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as a member of the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, spent three days on campus giving lectures, brown bag seminars, and classroom visits, for students and faculty across the campus.

Honors College Welcomes New Staff Member

This October, the Honors College welcomed its newest staff member, Sarah Kammeyer. She joins the Honors College as the new Assistant to the Director and the general office manager, and will have extensive interaction with students, faculty, and staff across campus.

Missouri Day 2018

The phrase “Made in the USA” has been an important branding and manufacturing marker for several decades. One Mizzou Honors student, Reagan Myers, hopes that “Made in Missouri” will gain similar acceptance.

All things geeky

Geek Week is a week-long celebration of all things “geeky” and is open to all students. Events from this year’s Geek Week included game night, movie screenings, trivia night, faculty-led discussion and much more.
